Participating in IntPiPoMo 2018

Some of you may know that years ago, I used to participate in NaNoWriMo. I even won two times in a row and missed the goal by 4k words in another year. Not because I wasn’t up to it, but because I’d gotten a high fever the last day and despite trying to type on my laptop, I had to give up when I started dreaming of typing instead of actually typing. Health should come first, after all.

In the past several years, I’ve never managed to switch my priorities around to do NaNoWriMo anymore. Not with demanding jobs and my dissertation thesis. I remember that last year, I was hoping to be able to participate this year, but my thesis still isn’t finished – it is progressing nicely, though, so that I am certain that next year, it won’t be in my way anymore. ;)

Just when I was whining about this on Twitter, I saw somebody tweet about IntPiPoMo – International Picture Posting Month. Obviously, it’s not the same as writing a novel of 50.000 words in a month. But posting 50 pictures is still a very nice and ambitious goal! Also, it’s fun. And I love taking screenshots in games anyway! So I’m happily participating this year.

A big thank you goes to Chestnut who is organizing IntPiPoMo again this year! I really love when people put in the extra work to organize fun events for other bloggers. It gives a nice cozy feeling of being part of a community. :)

So, expect to see lots of gaming screenshots here during the month of November.
