Wintersday Giveaways 2015: Week 4 (Win the Ultimate Edition of Heart of Thorns!)

This is it. This is the fourth – and last – of our giveaways. It will run from now until December 25, so right on time for Christmas. And yes, it’ll be full of awesome prizes. Once again, thank you to ArenaNet and NCsoft for supporting us! As always, they provided us with the prizes – and we’ll pay for the postage to get said prizes to the winners. :p

As I mentioned postage, there will be a “Germany-only” plush Charrlie below, but don’t worry, we also have one Plush Charrlie to give away internationally (unless you live in a hard-to-reach place with high postage fees in which case we’d ask if you could help us out – we’re not rich, unfortunately… :p).

So here is what you can win in our 4th giveaway:

Guild Wars 2
– 1 code for the Ultimate Edition of Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
– 2 Plush Charrlies (one for a resident within Germany and one international winner)
– 1 “pack” of in-game items (no precursor or anything like that, I’m not that rich! But it will be worth ~ 100 gold!)

In case you do not know what the Ultimate Edition of Heart of Thorns will give you: Obviously, a Guild Wars 2 account with no “free-to-play” restrictions, access to the expansion “Heart of Thorns”, access to the new profession Revenant – well, all the stuff that every other edition of Heart of Thorns will give you… and then these things: 4000 Gems, 1 additional character slot, miniature Revenant Rytlock, Revenant Finisher, Mordremoth’s Bane Guild Hall Decoration and the Heart of Thorns Glider Skin! As great as the charrlie plushies are, they are also quite big! So, even if we wanted to give them all away at once, we aren’t able to do so because the postage fees are quite large. As a reminder if you’re not a regular reader: We do not earn money with this blog. However, it’s Christmas and we want to see some of our readers happy, at least! That’s why we decided to give away TWO Charrlie plushies. One to a person living in Germany (as the dreaded postage fee is much smaller within the same country, of course) and one to wherever you’re living (with the caveat that it can’t be such a remote place that postage fees are horrendeously high – if you do live in such a place, you’ll probably know what I mean ^^).

The third prize, the in-game item package, will have a worth of around 100 gold. I will not go into detail what it will contain as that would spoil the surprise. ;)

But first, let me tell you what you can win in our last Wildstar Giveaway:

For Wildstar, we have
– 1 Aurin t-shirt in size L + 1 rowsdower keychain
– 1 Wildstar gamescom (EU) 2015 code (we have several left, so we can give up to 5 people a code!)

One word about the Wildstar codes: They will give you the Fancypants Jacket (seen on the right). The code card says it only works for EU accounts, but they have since re-launched and you can play on EU as well as US servers. We also asked and the reply we got was that they should not be region-locked. So we hope, but can’t be sure that you can use the fancypants jacket with your US characters or only with characters on the EU servers!

As always, there can’t be a giveaway without some rules. So read on to see what you have to do to enter and to which rules you apply by entering. You can enter both, the Guild Wars 2 as well as the Wildstar giveaway!

1a. In order to enter the Guild Wars 2 giveaway, please note the following: Leave the keyword “HOT” in your comment if you want to enter the giveaway for the Ultimate Edition code of Heart of Thorns. Leave the keyword “International” in your comment if you want to win a Plush Charrlie and live outside of Germany. Leave the keyword “Germany” in your comment if you live within Germany and want to win a Plush Charrlie. Important: You can only win either the Plush Charrlie or the Heart of Thorns Ultimate Edition code. So, if you want to enter both parts of the giveaway, please also state if you want to receive the Plush Charrlie or the Ultimate Edition in case random.org chooses your name twice. Out of all the remaining entries who did not win the Charrlie or the Ultimate Edition, I will roll for the winner of the in-game item package.

1b. In order to enter the Wildstar giveaway, write “Aurin” in your comment.

2. Leave a valid email address when commenting. It will only be used by us for contacting the winners and nothing else! Enter said email address into the “email” field, do not add it to the comment field as that one is public!

3. The winners will be contacted by email. Do NOT leave the email address in the comment field! If you have won one of the physical goodies: Please reply within 14 days and give us your address, so we can send the prizes. If you do not reply within 14 days, we may choose another winner.

4. No debating about the outcome! We will randomly choose the winners.

5. This giveaway will run from today until 25. December (midnight our time!)

6. One entry per person! Please be fair.

7. The physical goodies will be sent via regular mail (obviously… :p). As always: Everything we sent to winners has arrived so far, but you never know! We cannot guarantee you will receive your prize. We may also wait until after the holidays to ensure that your parcel will not get lost in the annual holiday mail chaos. Either way, we will send you an email to inform you once your parcel is on its way to you.

Jetzt ist es also endlich soweit… nur noch 6 Mal schlafen – ach nee. Das vierte (und damit letzte) Giveaway ist endlich hier! Es wird von heute bis zum 25. Dezember (Mitternacht – also eigentlich nur bis Ende 24. Dezember) laufen. Natürlich haben wir uns die besten Preise für den Schluss aufgehoben. Da ich gerade das Porto erwähne: Für diejenigen, die in Deutschland leben, wird es ein spezielles Charrlie-Plüschtier-Giveaway geben. Der zweite Charrlie wird international weggegeben. So stellen wir sicher, dass wenigstens einer der beiden Charrlies vom Porto her etwas günstiger sein wird. ;)

Jetzt aber zu den möglichen Preisen des vierten Giveaways:

Guild Wars 2
– 1 Code für die Ultimate Edition of Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
– 2 Plüsch-Charrlies (einer für einen Gewinner in Deutschland und einer für einen internationalen Gewinner)
– 1 “Päckchen” mit Gegenständen im Spiel (wird im Spiel per Mail zugeschickt werden). Da ich leider nicht reich bin – weder so noch im Spiel – gibt es keinen Precursor oder so, aber das Päckchen wird in etwa 100 Gold wert sein!

Falls ihr nicht wisst, was in der Ultimate Edition von Heart of Thorns enthalten ist: Natürlich ein vollständiger Guild Wars 2 Account ohne die “free-to-play”-Restriktionen, mit Zugang zur Erweiterung “Heart of Thorns”, Zugang zur neuen Klasse – also eben mit allem, was euch die anderen Versionen von “Heart of Thorns” auch geben würden. Und dann noch Folgendes: 4000 Edelsteine, 1 zusätzlicher Charakterplatz, ein Miniatur Widergänger Rytlock, Widergänger-Todesstoß, Gildenhallen-Dekoration Mordremoths Fluch und der Heart of Thorns Gleitschirm-Skin!

So toll die Plüsch-Charrlies auch sind, sie sind echt groß! Für diejenigen, die hier nicht regelmäßige Leser sind: Wir verdienen mit diesem Blog kein Geld. Daher sind hohe Portokosten natürlich heftig. Aber es ist Weihnachten und deswegen soll wenigstens einer der beiden auch für unsere internationalen Leser zu gewinnen sein. Den zweiten gibt es dann nur für einen Gewinner in Deutschland, damit wir wenigstens etwas an Porto einsparen können. ;)

Über den dritten Preis, das Gegenstandspäckchen, verrate ich jetzt nichts. Es soll eine Überraschung sein, was ihr dann im Spiel per Mail bekommt. Nur so viel sei verraten: Es wird ca. 100 Gold wert sein!

Ein Hinweis zu den Wildstar Codes: Auf den Karten steht, dass sie nur für EU-Accounts gelten. Wir hatten nachgefragt und sie sollten auch für US-Accounts einlösbar sein.

Wie immer kann es natürlich kein Giveaway ohne Regeln geben. Bitte lest euch die Regeln durch, denen ihr durch Teilnahme am Giveaway zustimmt. Ihr könnt übrigens bei beiden Giveaways (GW2 und Wildstar) teilnehmen!

1a. Um am Guild Wars 2-Giveaway teilzunehmen, beachtet bitte Folgendes: Schreibt “HOT” in euren Kommentar, wenn ihr gerne den Code für die Ultimate Edition von Heart of Thorns gewinnen würdet. Schreibt “International” in euren Kommentar, wenn ihr gerne einen Plüsch-Charrlie hättet und nicht in Deutschland wohnt. Wenn ihr in Deutschland wohnt, schreibt stattdessen “Germany” in euren Kommentar, um einen Plüsch-Charrlie gewinnen zu können. Wichtig: Ihr könnt zwar bei beiden teilnehmen (Heart of Thorns und Plüsch-Charrlie), aber nur eins von beiden gewinnen. Schreibt also bitte noch dazu, welchem Gewinn ihr Priorität gebt, sollte random.org euch beide Male auswählen. Unter allen übrigen Teilnehmern, die weder die Plüsch-Charrlies noch den Heart of Thorns Code gewonnen haben, wird das Päckchen mit den In-Game-Gegenständen verlost werden.

1b. Um am Wildstar Giveaway teilzunehmen, schreibt das Wort “Aurin” in euren Kommentar.

2. Fügt eine gültige E-Mail-Adresse ein. Diese E-Mail-Adresse werden wir nur dazu benutzen, um euch zu kontaktieren, wenn ihr gewonnen haben solltet. Ansonsten machen wir nichts damit. Achtet bitte darauf, dass die E-Mail-Adresse oben im entsprechenden Feld angegeben ist und nicht im Textfeld des Kommentars, da sie sonst öffentlich sichtbar ist.

3. Die Gewinner werden per E-Mail kontaktiert werden. Noch einmal: Hinterlasst die E-Mail-Adresse nicht im Textfeld des Kommentars. Wenn ihr das T-Shirt oder das Plüschtier gewonnen habt, benötigen wir eure Adresse, damit wir es euch zusenden können. Antwortet bitte innerhalb von 14 Tagen. Wenn ihr nicht innerhalb der 14 Tage antwortet, kann es sein, dass wir einen anderen Gewinner auswählen.

4. Es gibt keine Diskussion über den Ausgang des Giveaways. Die Gewinner werden zufällig ausgewählt.

5. Das Giveaway läuft ab jetzt bis zum 25. Dezember (Mitternacht unserer Zeit – also direkt dann, wenn der 24.12. vorbei ist ^^).

7. Zum Schluss noch ein Hinweis: Bis jetzt kam alles, was wir per Post versendet haben, bei den Gewinnern an. Aber man weiß ja nie und so ganz vertrauen kann man der Post natürlich nicht. Wir werden auch eventuell warten, bis die Feiertage vorbei sind und dann erst die Sachen losschicken, damit es nicht im Weihnachtschaos untergeht. Ihr werdet aber von uns per E-Mail informiert werden, wenn wir es losgeschickt haben.
